Dinah Menger
is in her thirteenth
year as the Director of Choirs at Arlington High School. Mrs.
Menger has taken choirs to Italy, Scotland and Ireland for concert tours
and members of her choir are on 2 grammy nominated CDs with the Oratorio
Chorus of Fort Worth. Mrs. Menger is one of 5 members of the Texas UIL
Prescribed Music List Committee for 2007-2011, serves TMEA as All State
Section Leader and Coordinator and Region 5 as Region Chair Elect and the
Judges Selection Committee. She is a member of TMEA, TCDA, ACDA, TMAA and
is an honorary life time member of PTA. She is the 1998 Secondary Teacher
of the Year AWARE Foundation recipient and is a member of Who's Who Among
American Teachers. Mrs. Menger is a frequent guest clinician and judge and
spends summers as a section leader at several All State Choir Camps across
the state of Texas. She graduated with distinction from the University of
Arizona with a major in choral education and a minor in voice performance.
The Mengers have 3 children, Claire, Sam and Anna.
Laura Pease serves as assistant choir director and accompanist at Arlington High School. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University's School of Music with a major in music education and minors in piano, oboe, and German. Laura has taught privately in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Tyler-Longview areas, has performed on oboe with the East Texas and Shreveport Symphonies, and continues to perform oboe work throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She taught band in Brownsville for five years and came to Arlington after ten years with the Mansfield High School Choir Program. Laura's professional affiliations include TMEA, UEA, and the International Double Reeds Society. She is an veteran member of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Oratorio Chorus. Laura and her husband Mark, head band director at Lamar High School, have one son Bryan.
Jodi
Hill is a
first year choir director at AHS and a native of North Richland Hills,
Texas. Prior to this, she was at private voice instructor for two years
and a middle school choir director for one year. Jodi sings in many
professional choirs in the area including Orpheus Chamber Singers, Texas
Choral Artists and Paradigm Vocal Ensemble. In addition, she is a frequent
soloist at numerous DFW area churches. Jodi received her Bachelor's of
Music Education at the University of North Texas in 2006 where she studied
under Dr. Jerry McCoy and Dr. Linda DiFiore. During her time there, Jodi
was a vocal scholarship recipient, A Cappella Choir soprano section leader
and the Undergraduate Choral Representative to the Dean. In addition, she
was a first place winner in the 2001 National Association of Teachers of
Singing competition and performed in several operas. Jodi has also
performed choral and solo music in major halls across the US, England and
Italy.
